Franck Perera (38/F) from the Emil Frey Racing set the first fastest time of the weekend at round three of the ADAC GT Masters in Zandvoort. His lap of 1:34.467 minutes at the wheel of the #19 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo was the fastest of Friday morning’s first free practice session. The Eastalent Racing duo of Norbert Siedler (39/A) and Simon Reicher (22/A) ended the session in second place in the #54 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II.
Lorenzo Ferrari (19/I) enjoyed a good start to life in the German GT Championship. The young Italian, standing in for Jonathan Aberdein (24/ZA) in Mann-Filter Team Landgraf, finished third alongside his partner Raffaele Marciello (27/I) in the #48 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo. Fourth place went to the pairing of Jan Marschalkowski (19/Inning) and Daniel Juncadella (30/E) in the #8 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, ahead of Patric Niederhauser (30/CH) and Luca Engstler (22/Wiggensbach) of Rutronik Racing in the #15 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II.
Cool temperatures awaited the drivers on Friday morning at the circuit in the Zandvoort dunes. On a damp track, it took the drivers several laps to get the tyres up to their optimal temperature. It took Franck Perera, who shares the cockpit of the Lamborghini with Arthur Rougier (22/F), until the 28th lap to set the fastest time, which no other driver was able to match. The ID racing team announced a new arrival: Jannes Fittje (22/Langenhain) will line up alongside Jaxon Evans (25/AUS) in the #44 Porsche 911 GT3 R in the ADAC GT Masters in the future.
