Huber Racing to field new Porsche

Team principal Christoph Huber expands his motorsport portfolio. Norisring highlight eagerly anticipated. SPORT1 to broadcast all races live on free-to-air TV.

Team principal Christoph Huber is looking forward to the ADAC GT Masters. Together with his team Huber Racing, he will add the ADAC GT Masters to his motorsport portfolio by fielding a brand-new Porsche 911 GT3 R. “There are six fantastic events, of which four are held on the same bill as the DTM. The crowds will be pretty impressive,” says Huber. The 40-year-old recently moved into a new site in Hofkirchen – roughly 30 kilometres northwest of Passau. Here, his team is not only busy preparing the GT3 R for the ADAC GT Masters, but also a further seven Porsche cars for the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland.

“We receive great regional support for our motorsport endeavours, and are in action at racetracks almost all year,” says Huber. He is particularly excited about one date on the ADAC GT Masters calendar: “Our home event is the Norisring. We have been very competitive there in the past. There is nothing better than seeing people cheering you on from the packed stone grandstands. When the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters both start there on the same weekend in July, it will be an absolute highlight for us.” Huber Racing will announce its two drivers for the Porsche 911 GT3 R on 31st March.

For anyone who cannot attend the races in person, SPORT1 is broadcasting all the ADAC GT Masters races on free-to-air TV. Huber Racing will not only be battling it out with other teams for points and trophies, but the most successful competitors can also look forward to a share of the prize purse, which amounts to roughly € 570,000 in cash and non-cash prizes.
