ADAC GT Masters fans can look forward to a new addition from Great Britain in the coming season. Aston Martin has launched its new flagship, the Vantage GT3, which will line up on the ADAC platform this year.
The car is the evolution of the successful Vantage GTE and GT3. The latest model sees the British manufacturer tap into the impressive history of its predecessor. It is based on an aluminium chassis and, as well as a modified body, also boasts state-of-the-art electronics. The sports car has been given a completely new aerodynamics package. Providing the grunt is a beefy V8 twin-turbo 4-litre engine, the unmistakable sound of which is set to ring round the racetracks in the ADAC GT Masters.
“Aston Martin Racing benefits from the exceptional pool of talent, experience and knowledge forged in Formula 1 and found throughout Aston Martin Performance Technologies,” says Marco Mattiacci, CBO and Commercial Officer of Aston Martin. “The result is a state-of-the-art GT race car, which clearly shares its DNA with the latest Vantage road car, yet is perfectly evolved to suit the latest GT3 regulations.”
The last time an Aston Martin started in the ADAC GT Masters was in the 2021 season, when the 540-hp car made a guest appearance at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg with reigning champion Salman Owega one of those behind the wheel.
