Double ADAC GT Masters team champions HRT to field the Ford Mustang. HRT reveals the first design for the Ford Mustang GT3. Ford returns to the ADAC GT Masters after a ten-year absence.
Ford is back in the ADAC GT Masters: Haupt Racing Team (HRT) is behind Ford’s return to the series and will line up with the Mustang GT3 in the 2025 season. As a taste of things to come in this year’s ADAC GT Masters, the winning team from the past two seasons has revealed the design of a Mustang GT3, which it will run in this year’s championship. The involvement in the ADAC GT Masters is in addition to the DTM programme with the Ford Mustang GT3. The Mustang GT3 will make its race debut in the prestigious series at the opening round of this season’s ADAC GT Masters, which takes place from 23rd to 25th May as part of the DTM weekend at the Dekra Lausitzring.
Ford returns to the ADAC GT Masters with the Mustang after a ten-year absence. The last time a Ford GT lined up in the series was at the 2015 finale in Hockenheim. To date, Ford has five race wins to its name.
Fans of the series will recognise the look of the HRT Mustang, featuring a design from adhesive technology specialists Scharnau / 3M, from last year, when the livery made a little bit of ADAC GT Masters history: David Schumacher and Salman Owega bagged a brace of victories at the Nürburgring in the same design, winning the 250th race in the series in the process. Details on HRT’s programme with the Ford Mustang GT3 in the ADAC GT Masters, and the drivers, will be announced at a later date.
