Countdown to new racing season begins: Big crowd expected

Motocross riders all over the planet will shake off the cold of a long winter on April 16th and 17th when the new season of races gets underway at Fuerstlich Drehna. The race at Muehlberg is the opening round for the new ADAC MX Masters season, Europes most successful motocross series in its seventh year now.

The deep sandy track only a few kilometres south of Germanys capital Berlin is a favorite for riders from Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands and continues to draw a crowd of at least 12.000 spectators every year.

For Germanys Motocross Shootingstar, ADAC MX Masters Champion and MX2 World Championship runner-up Ken Roczen the season opener is the perfect practice session for the second round of the World Championships in Valkensvaard on April 23rd and 24th. Both tracks are quite similar and the 16-year-old is looking forward to test his skills on the deep sandy track in Brandenburg.

Spectators can not only expect thrilling races but also a complete new layout of the track. For the first time it is possible to walk around the 1.8 kilometer long track. "The new layout is much more challenging than the old one and caters to international standards", says Joerg Lischka, President of MSC Fuerstlich Drehna.
