ADAC MX Masters·17.8.2011

Schmidinger and Olsen were the winners in Ried: 8.000 spectators in Austria

At the sixth round of the championship the riders were greeted by sunny weather, a crowd of 8.000 and a technical track.

In ADAC MX Masters class Valentin Teillet won the first race ahead of Schmidinger and Cedric Soubeyras but he missed the overall victory due to a crash in the second heat. As he tried to pass Soubeyras, batteling for third place, he crashed into Soubeyras who had to pull out and could not finish the race. Teillet, winner of the qualifying race on Saturday, finished third behind Schmidinger and Matthias Walkner.

Günter Schmidinger obtained his first overall win this season ahead of Teillet and Pascal Rauchenecker. After his crash and a DNF in the second heat Soubeyras lost his lead in the championship. He is second behind Marcus Schiffer now.

In ADAC MX Youngster Cup, Donny Bastemeijer was second overall and Rasmus Jorgensen completed the rostrum. With a lead of 53 points the championship Stefan Kjer Olsen is a strong candidate for the ADAC MX Youngster Cup title. It is possible for him to grab the trophy already at the seventh round in Höchstädt on August 27th and 28th.

But it is not only Stefan Kjer Olsen who could end the battle for the titel ahead of time. In ADAC MX Junior Cup Lativan rider Pauls Jonass is also only a couple of points and some luck apart from winning the championship. Olsen and Jonass only need two good motos at the seventh round at the KTM Ring in Höchstädt to finalise their success stories. Pauls Jonass arrives in Höchstädt as the newly crowned 85cc World Champion and he is determined to leave Germany with another title.

After a one year break the ADAC MX Masters championship moves to Höchstädt to celebrate the seventh race of the season. With only two rounds to go the riders are pretty excited. The small town Höchstädt in northern Bavaria is only a spitting distance away from Selb, Marktredwitz or Marktleuthen.
