The demanding and beautiful KTM-Ring in Hoechstaedt, located about 40 kilometres south of Hof, will host the third round of the ADAC MX Masters Championship on May 26th and May 27th.
Marcus Schiffer (Silent Sport) and Ron Noffz (Kalli Racing) are the current leaders in their respective classes and both are determined to keep the lead.
Schiffer arrives in Hoechstaedt with 28 points advantage over Stefan Kjer Olsen (Yamaha Motor Deutschland - AC MoTeC by STC). Olsen, last years ADAC MX Youngster Cup Champion, is challenging experienced riders like Schiffer and Xavier Boog. The latter returns to the ADAC MX Masters Championship after missing the second round in Bavaria at the beginning of May.
The French rider is Fifth in the current Championship behind his compatriot Romain Febvre (KTM Bodo Schmidt Motorsport) and Petar Petrov (Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe) from Bulgaria. Boog was the overall winner of the first round of the Championship and he made it clear that his goal is to be the 2012 ADAC MX Masters Champion.
Sporting the MSC Hoechstaedt colours with a wild card are Philip Reiss, Nico Raabe, Toni Steinhäuser and Leon Schneider. Overall the KTM-Ring will see more than 170 riders from 20 nations compete on the 1.79 kilometre granite sand track. Qualifying will start on Saturday at 1pm, races on Sunday at 1pm.
