Planning for the 2014 ADAC MX Masters season is already in full swing just four weeks after the exciting season finale in Holzgerlingen. Eight events will be staged again next year to decide the prestigious International German Motocross championship. The venues are Aichwald, Fürstlich Drehna, Gaildorf, Holzgerlingen, Jauer, Ried im Innkreis (Austria), Tensfeld and Teutschenthal. The racing calendar is currently high on the agenda as the intention is to publish the final version for 2014 after the FIM Congress in December.
The venues for the ADAC MX Masters are practically identical to those of 2013. Teutschenthal is calendared once again for the first time since 2008. The ADAC MX Masters has something to suit everyone: the sand specialists will feel at home in Fürstlich Drehna (Brandenburg ) and Tensfeld (Schleswig-Holstein), those who enjoy taking the jumps will be delighted with Jauer (Saxony), and fans in the Baden-Württemberg region will have three races to look forward to, namely, Aichwald , Gaildorf and Holzgerlingen. After staging this year's successful Motocross of Nations event, Teutschenthal (Saxony-Anhalt) has rediscovered its passion for the ADAC MX Masters. Ried im Innkreis (Austria) is the only international stopover.
As in previous years, the ADAC MX Masters classes and the ADAC MX Youngster Cup will be contested at all venues, but the ADAC MX Junior Cup will be absent from two events and the young riders aged between ten and 15 will miss Tensfeld and Jauer (provisional). The organisers will again provide an attractive support programme for the whole family in addition to the races. In the 2013 season, they attracted on average more than 10,000 visitors to the track per race weekend.
HSV Ried, Heeressportverein Ried, based near the Austrian town of Ried, is the first organising club ever in the history of the ADAC MX Masters to be given a two-year agreement. Dieter Porsch, director of motorcycle racing at the ADAC, explains the reasoning behind the 2014/15 contract: "We have found a very loyal series partner in HSV Ried. The club has invested a great deal of time and effort in recent years to lay out and develop a site on the military training ground in Austria that is vital to the series. The aim in signing this agreement was to give the club security of planning for the next two years so that further particulars regarding the event can be optimised."
