The eight dates for the 2015 ADAC MX Masters have already been announced, but there has been a change of venue. The ADAC MX Masters round at Holzgerlingen has been dropped from the schedule after ten years. Due to problems related to the weather these past two years, some structural reconstruction work is now required in order to meet the club´s own high standards and do justice to the demands of the series itself. Therefore, event organisers, KfV Kalteneck eV took the decision at short notice not to stage an event in 2015. Instead, facilities will be modernised and the event reshaped. The club can reapply to stage the ADAC MX Masters in 2016.
Lichtenvoorde in the Netherlands will replace Holzgerlingen as the new venue for an ADAC MX Masters event. "We are very pleased to be selected as organisers of the ADAC MX races. We have a lot of experience with big events and hope that everyone will like it here," said Ferdinand Wiggers, motocross representative of organising club MAC Lichtenvoorde. The motocross track in the province of Gelderland is located just 20 kilometres from the German border and is extremely popular with riders and fans. Since 2006, the legendary Zwarte Cross Festival, featuring a mix of music festival and motocross event, has attracted tens of thousands of spectators to Lichtenvoorde, about 40 kilometres from Enschede. The Lichtenvoorde track is one for sand specialists, unlike the muddy grass of Holzgerlingen.
Registration for the respective events will be possible online at www.adac.de/motorsport, commencing December 1st, 2014.
