MXoN series, Part eight : Good wishes for Team Germany

Dennis Baudrexl (ADAC MX Masters)

"My wish for the three guys is that they can produce the performance that they're capable of without undue pressure. Max and Marcus have so much experience in the MXoN that they can call on their skill at any time without any problems. Ulle can also approach this year's event feeling more relaxed because he knows what to expect from his debut last year. In addition, he has had a terrific Masters season, so I'm completely confident in his abilities. Achieving a podium will certainly be tough, but a top-five finish is definitely possible. The main thing is that the three riders stay fit and healthy and soak in the excellent atmosphere in Kegums to give them a boost for next season."

Franz Lofquist (ADAC MX Masters)

"Of course, as a Swede, I certainly hope that the guys from my own country will do better than Team Germany, but that will be difficult. The German team will place in the top five at the very least, while Team Sweden might just make the Top Ten. In my opinion, the team has in Max Nagl the best German motocrosser we've seen in years. He finished on the podium several times at the world championship and in the Nations as well and has first-hand experience of the competition. That should help the guys move well up front."

Calvin Vlaanderen (ADAC MX Youngster Cup)

"I wish Team Germany every success and hope that they can be strong. Max Nagl, Marcus Schiffer and Dennis Ullrich will do well there, since all three are itching to get started. They're equally strong because their performance is consistent and all three riders are potential winners. Schiffer is really good on the 250cc engine. He can really let rip on it. I also see Ullrich way up front. I trained with him for a week in France recently and he showed me how to improve my starts. Ulle is one of the best starters in the Masters series and that will stand him in good stead in Kegums."

Lucas Schelling (ADAC MX Youngster Cup)

"I think that a finish in the top three is a realistic goal for Team Germany, and that's what I hope the three riders will achieve. The three together form a successful package overall, as Schiffer consistently performs well and both Nagl and Ullrich are impressive at starting mainly. If they can then also maintain their high speed and cope well with the track, then everything will go their way in Kegums."

Maurice Kiok (ADAC MX Youngster Cup)

"It would be great if Nagl, Schiffer and Ullrich could bring the title back to Germany - it's really not such an unrealistic goal. Everything about the three riders is absolutely right; they are really in tune with one another and remain a force to be reckoned with even without Ken Roczen. Their toughest opponents will certainly be the USA, because they have nominated three riders, who are all equally as strong, like our three Team Germany representatives. But our guys just need to rely on their talent and skills, and then it will come good for them."

Tim Ebinger (ADAC MX Youngster Cup)

"I'm hoping for a place among the top five for Team Germany. It's important that they all produce the same level of performance and all ride equally as well. Max Nagl is the driving force among the three. He's ridden several times in events like these and has the most experience as a consequence. So Nagl will be the driving force behind his team-mates, who are very tried and tested just like him. They can achieve a good result together."

Kevin Winkle (ADAC MX Youngster Cup)

"All things are possible for Team Germany, from a place in the Top Ten to a podium finish. I think, though, that a win is not all that realistic, as Italy and the USA are fielding opponents, who are too strong for them this year. Still, I definitely see the German team well up front. Max Nagl has always produced good results in the ADAC MX Masters and has kept up with the competition so far in the Grand Prix. That will certainly help him in Kegums."

Mikkel Haarup (ADAC MX Junior Cup)

"Team Germany will certainly be able to assert themselves against the strong competition in Kegums. Nagl and Ullrich are incredibly fast and Schiffer is by no means in any way inferior to them either. Their consistent speed will probably be their secret to success. I hope that they will mix it with the front-runners. But I have no real worries on that score."

Nina and Nico Baumgärtner (ADAC MX Junior Cup)

"Firstly, we would like to wish the three of them the best of luck and races that are free of accident. We hope that they will have a lot of fun in Latvia. Team Germany has the right attitude and the motivation to win, so we're sure they can beat off the competition. We think that Schiffer and Ullrich will take their cue from Nagl, as he has the most experience and always impresses with his calmness and concentration. There's every chance that they can finish somewhere between fifth and tenth place."

Wolf Flavio (ADAC MX Junior Cup)

"Team Germany is in direct competition with the team from my home country, Switzerland, so they will have to make do with second place behind the Swiss. However, I firmly believe that the Germans will make a splash at the MXoN, because each of the three riders has a good chance. The strength of all three riders has been proven time and time again in the ADAC MX Masters."

Bastian Boegh Damm (ADAC MX Junior Cup)

"As Danes, we want Denmark to win, of course, but we still wish the Germans every success and hope that they can be strong in the event in Latvia. We have particularly close ties with Max Nagl, who also rides for the KMP Honda Repsol Racing Team as a guest starter at the ADAC MX Masters. So obviously, it's only natural that we want to wish him luck. But the other two are also really talented riders. Ullrich is a particularly gifted starter and that will give him an enormous great advantage in Kegums."
