The ADAC MX Masters series will be going into the 2015 and 2016 seasons with the continued support of long-term partner Red Bull. The energy drink manufacturer has extended the existing agreement for a further two years.
"Bringing on young talent in motorsport is one of the main purposes behind the ADAC MX Masters," says Lars Soutschka, ADAC Head of Motorsport and Classic. "The same goes for Red Bull. We are therefore delighted that Red Bull has agreed to carry on giving the ADAC MX Masters wings over the next two years."
Europe's most popular motocross series and the Austrian energy drink manufacturer have a long-standing partnership which enters its tenth year in 2015. "The support of Red Bull is a decisive factor in the continuing success of the ADAC MX Masters," says Dieter Porsch, ADAC Head of Motorcycle Sport. "At the very inception of the series, we were already in a highly constructive relationship with Red Bull, and we can now look back on a partnership that has grown stronger year on year."
The ADAC MX Masters, which also has the status of the official German MX Championship, is a motocross racing series staged over eight weekends. On the 2015 calendar, two of these events will be contested abroad (Austria and the Netherlands) and six on German soil. Each event attracts a field of around 250 riders in three classes based on age. Saturday consists of free practice, qualifying and a last-chance race. The two races on Sunday are preceded by a warm-up session. The ADAC MX Masters itself is the main classification, the winner of which is crowned 'International German Motocross Champion' at the end of the season. Current or former world championship riders regularly enhance an already high-calibre line-up.
