ADAC MX Masters·21.9.2014

The importance of the autograph session : Face-to-face contact decisive

The ADAC MX Masters is equally popular with spectators and riders. This is due in part to having direct contact with one another and to always being able to swap notes. The paddock is open to everyone. During the event, spectators can have a look around, take pictures, chat to their idols and talk shop with others involved in the scene. So, motocross fans are part of the action and become actively involved in the racing world.

With that in mind, a half-hour autograph session to which five of the current top stars in the racing series are invited is held at every event and always takes place on race day, as is the tradition. The motocross aces might include, for example, those ADAC MX Masters riders who are ranked in the top three in the overall standings, local riders, the previous year´s winner of the event and/or well-known guest starters.

At the Teutschenthal ‘basins´, current and newly crowned ADAC MX Masters champion Dennis Ullrich, the two double ADAC MX Masters winners Marcus Schiffer and Max Nagl, world championship rider Jeremy Seewer and Pascal Rauchenecker, who is currently ranked third, will be on hand for their fans from 12.15 am until 12.45 to sign posters and autographs. By the way, Ullrich, Schiffer and Nagl will this year jointly represent Team Germany at the prestigious Motocross World Team Championship MX of Nations which takes place one week after the final ADAC MX Masters event at Kegums in Latvia (September 27th-28th).

At the autograph session, it is usual for fans to also ask questions of their favourite MX star and have a friendly chat with them. None of the ADAC MX Masters aces put on any airs and graces. Each motocrosser is happy to meet the public and is always ready to spend time with them. "I think the autograph session is great. It´s a lot of fun when someone asks you to sign something for them and is a fine way to acknowledge you as a rider. It makes you feel quite proud," said Marcus Schiffer, who this season was invited to the half-hour gathering at almost every event.

In addition to the autograph session, motocross supporters can also buy ADAC MX Masters items for fans from the ADAC Truck. There is always a selection of T-shirts and caps in various sizes to choose from at each event.
