ADAC MX Masters·23.11.2015

Enrolment for 2016 commences December 1st: Change of dates to ADAC MX Masters race schedule

Motocross riders everywhere, please note: Enrolment for the ADAC MX Masters opens on December 1st at: www.adac.de/mx-masters. Riders in the premier ADAC MX Masters class and in the two series for juniors, the ADAC MX Youngster Cup (riders aged 14 to 21) and the ADAC MX Junior Cup (riders aged ten to 15) can enter online via the webpage of Europe's largest automobile club. Some 260 riders will register, ensuring plenty of action for spectators at all seven race weekends.

Prize money totalling 260,000 euros, plus attractive prizes presented by series partners will again be awarded in 2016. Equipment is given as support in recognition of good performance and to help MX trainees increase their level of performance especially in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup and ADAC MX Junior Cup which are veritable talent factories.

A clash of dates has necessitated a change to the 2016 ADAC MX Masters race schedule. The season-opener in Fürstlich Drehna has been postponed until April 23th/24th while the fixture that was originally planned for that weekend in Lichtenvoorde in the Netherlands has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict with a Dutch championship race. Consequently, the 2016 calendar will feature a total of seven events next season.

The ADAC MX Masters will start the new season in Fürstlich Drehna on the weekend of April 23rd/24th, 2016, followed by a fixture outside of Germany's borders in Möggers (Austria). While the ADAC MX Masters and the ADAC MX Youngster Cup will be contested at all race weekends, the youngest riders, those in the ADAC MX Junior Cup, will miss the weekend in Bielstein (Nordrhein-Westfalen). However, they will line up in Tensfeld the first time in years as a result of Lichtenvoorde cancelling. The format of the event will be the same at each track. There will be two points-scoring races on Sunday after free practice, qualifying and Saturday's last-chance race. Current and former world championship participants will also regularly take part and add kudos to the series. But privateers who do not benefit from manufacturer support can also participate and compete for points in a separate class of their own.

Advance ticket sales will commence on December 1st at: www.adac.de/mx-masters. The action on track will be complemented by an extensive support programme to ensure an outstanding entertainment package. The ADAC Insurance kids' bouncy castle, the ADAC Young Generation Suzuki Quad track and a 'fan mile' with motocross items for sale will be at the events, and parties may also be staged in the evenings, depending on the organising club.

In recent years, many pro riders have gained experience in the various series and impressed by being successful. Many entrants regard Ken Roczen in particular as someone to look up to after winning the ADAC MX Masters in 2010 and 2011 and the title of International German Motocross Champion. In 2014, he became the first German rider to win the US 450cc championship title. Current ADAC MX Masters champion Glenn Coldenhoff, supreme winner of the ADAC MX Youngster Cup Brian Hsu and Jeremy Sydow delivered top performances in the 2015 season, but who will come out on top in Europe's most popular motocross series next year?
