World championship riders in Tensfeld line-up: DMV MX Ladies Cup on support programme

The North German circuit of Tensfeld is the venue for the fifth ADAC MX Masters meeting of the international motocross elite. This will be the tenth time that the 1.7 km MCE Tensfeld track in the ADAC Schleswig-Holstein region has hosted the motocross circus (July 18th/19th). In northern Germany near Plön, riders will be faced with a track composed of deep sand, made even tougher by many small stones and gravel particles. Sand specialist and world championship rider Kevin Strijbos (29) from Belgium will start this weekend as a guest rider in Europe's most popular motocross series. He is back in the line-up with Team Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MXGP after his last outing in Jauer.

Championship leader and Suzuki works rider Glenn Coldenhoff (24/Team Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe) is also a hot prospect. He intends to secure vital points in the fight for the top in order to extend his championship lead. The Dutchman took victory overall on the sandy track at the WC fixture in Kegums, Latvia. Defending champion, German rider Dennis Ullrich (Team Castrol Power1 Suzuki Moto-Base) also reckons his chances are good in this strong field of riders. The 21-year-old has trained on sand frequently in recent weeks. He is currently in second place and aims to get closer to lifting the title with a podium finish. His Swiss rival, Jeremy Seewer (20/Team Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe), also has a chance of winning. The two have already fought close wheel-to-wheel battles at the front of the field and are separated by just 14 points in the championship. Austrian Pascal Rauchenecker (22/HSV Ried/Cofain Racing KTM), currently in fourth place, also plans to be a contender for the win on the deep sandy track. All riders will have to put their riding skills to the test in Tensfeld, because the sandy subsurface places high demands on riders. The granular top covering changes with every lap of the track, and a choice of line that proved best on the previous lap may turn out to be wrong on the next round.

ADAC MX Youngster Cup

ADAC Sports Foundation protégé Brian Hsu (17/Team Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe), the top favourite in the class for youngsters, is in the line-up at Tensfeld. The exceptionally talented rider has clinched victory on the day at all of the last three race meetings. Hsu, who was born in Freiburg, currently leads the overall standings with 186 points, but Arminas Jasikonis (17/Monster Energy Kawasaki Elf Team Pfeil) from Lithuania is back on top form and intends to make up lost points after having to miss Bielstein and Aichwald through injury. Stefan Ekerold (Bodo Schmidt Motorsports/KTM) from Weiskirchen completes the trio of top riders competing for the lead. The 19-year-old is in second place in the championship standings on 138 points. Nicholas Adams (18/Monster Energy Kawasaki Elf Team Pfeil), who caused a stir in the last races aims to fight for the podium once again. South African-born Adams is currently in third place overall (116 points).
