ADAC MX Masters·30.11.2016

Registration for 2017 commences December 1st: Ticket sales begin middle of December on ADAC MX Masters website

2016 is coming to an end, but the ADAC MX Masters is already preparing for 2017. Registration for the 13th season of the motocross race series opens on 1st December when young talents, privateers and pro riders will be able to register for next season online at www.adac.de/mx-masters. The ADAC MX Masters is divided into three different classes depending on age and bike capacity. Juniors riding 85cc machines aged 10 - 15, sign up for the ADAC MX Junior Cup, while those aged 14 - 21, who compete on 125cc or 250cc motorcycles, enter the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. Pro motocross riders on machines from 250cc upwards register for the ADAC MX Masters. Privateers are also very welcome and can score points in a standings all of their own.

A change in the qualifying procedure for the ADAC MX Youngster Cup is being introduced next year. In order to encourage junior two-stroke competitors, more two-stroke riders will get the chance in 2017 to compete in the points-scoring races held on Sundays. What used to happen previously is that only the Top Six from the Last Chance race could qualify for the main event, but ten ADAC MX Youngster Cup competitors will now go through next season. However, it won't be simply the top-ten finishers, who progress through, but the top-five two-stroke and five best four-stroke riders.

All those taking part in the racing series can apply to the DMSB or DMSJ as usual for their start numbers from 1st January 2017 onwards. Entries for ADAC MX Masters events must be received by 10th February 2017 at the latest. Further information online at www.adac.de/mx-masters.

The 13th season will feature seven race weekends as in 2016. Ticket sales commence in the middle of December, and tickets can be ordered online at www.adac.de/mx-masters. MSC Fürstlich Drehna eV, based in the Dahme-Spreewald area of Germany to the south of Berlin, usually organise the season opener. After going head-to-head at tracks in various parts of Germany, the final meeting will again take place at Holzgerlingen, Baden-Württemberg, where ADAC MX Masters driver Dennis Ullrich (23) secured his third title this year; Ullrich has just announced that he will be back competing in the 2017 ADAC MX Masters with KTM Sarholz Racing Team.

A consistently high-calibre field of riders is one of the attractions of the ADAC MX Masters. Around 250 riders from some 25 different countries, including many world cup and European championship stars, compete each race weekend. Once again in 2017, riders can win attractive prize money of approximately quarter million euros as well as juicy prizes in the form of equipment made by well-known manufacturers and other tackle needed by motocross riders donated by partners to the series.
