World championship riders in thrilling fixture: Exciting battle for lead in standings of the ADAC MX Junior Cup

The ADAC MX Masters in Aichwald has always been a spectacular event for some eleven years now, as the fixture in the small town near Stuttgart has established itself as a real highlight of the season for spectators of Europe's most popular motocross racing series. And not without good reason: The club, the MSC Eiserne Hand Aichwald eV, has an attractive, winding meadow track that international MX riders just adore. World championship star Max Nagl (28, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team) is already really looking forward to this year's ADAC MX Masters on June 11th and 12th in Aichwald. The two-time ADAC MX Masters champion has been a club member for many years and can hardly wait to line up as the local 'hero' on his home track. "The ADAC MX Masters in Aichwald is a highlight on my schedule - not just because I feel a great connection with the club, but because racing here in front of so many spectators is always a lot of fun. What's more, the soil composition of the track has exactly the same feel and texture as that in the upcoming world championship race in England, so I can also use this event as good preparation for the grand prix," said the 28-year-old.

Current ADAC MX Masters championship leader Dennis Ullrich (22, KTM Sarholz Racing Team) will be one of Nagl's biggest rivals at this next meeting in Baden-Württemberg. The 22-year-old, who has won the race series twice like Nagl and also lines up in the world championship, was successful right across the board in the ADAC MX Masters event at Möggers in Austria where Ulle, as he is known, caused a stir by taking victory on the day with two race wins booked to his account and by subsequently moving into the lead in the championship. His goals for Aichwald: Stay on course, accelerate hard and secure as many points as possible again. But the fight for top positions in what is already a very challenging line-up of drivers will not be easy, since the current runner-up in the MX2 world championship, Jeremy Seewer (21, Team Suzuki World MX2), also aims to compete against the top stars.

The current battle to gain ground in the standings of the ADAC MX Junior Cup is turning out to be just as exciting. Young talent Rene Hofer (14/AUT, Kini KTM Junior Pro Team by Mefo Sport) slipped down the table from first to second place at the race weekend in his native Austria following a technical problem in Race 1, and so, will be going all-out to win again in Baden-Württemberg. His biggest rival, Maksim Kraev (13/RUS, Garim MX Team, KTM), will consequently not find it easy to repeat his performance from Möggers, but as Hofer himself says, "I've got a very strong opponent breathing down my neck".

Visitors can look forward to a very eventful, action-packed weekend of motorsport. The 1,755-metre In den Horben track can be observed really well from practically everywhere at the circuit and promises both spectators and the approximately 250 riders from 25 countries or so plenty of adrenaline rushes. The races can be watched directly from behind the barriers at the circuit, and everyone has the chance to experience the action up close. As a club, the MSC Eiserne Hand Aichwald eV has been among those associated with the ADAC MX Masters from the outset.

The ADAC MX Masters offers a varied programme off the track in addition to the motor sport action. This includes, for example, the ADAC Young Generation Suzuki Quad track, the ADAC Insurance kids bouncy castle and the Suzuki 4x4 Roadeo course. The MX stars will once again be there for fans to answer questions at the weekend. Not only can fans visit them in the paddock which is open to everyone, riders will take time out on Sunday from 12:15 to 12:45 pm to sign autographs at the ADAC Truck. Max Nagl and Dennis Ullrich will be among those in attendance. Also figuring on the weekend's agenda will be the reception for top riders on Saturday night and the party with the V.I.P.'s rock band in Aichwald's marquee following on from that.

Tickets for spectators aged 15 and over for Saturday and Sunday cost 18 euros and 10 euros for ten to 14-year-olds. Children under ten get free admission.
