The fourth ADAC MX Masters meeting at MSC Drabenderhöhe-Bielstein eV on 17th and 18th June marks the mid-point in the race series this year. After three meetings already held and three more still to follow, it will be make or break at Bielstein for this year's title contenders in the top flight and in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. Riders in the ADAC MX Junior Cup will not be competing at the 1.655-km track set in woodland. However, some 180 competitors from 20 countries have entered to take part, including current championship leader, Dennis Ullrich (23, KTM Sarholz Racing Team) and the two world championship stars, Hunter Lawrence (17, AUS, Team Suzuki World MX2) and Bas Vaessen (19, NED, Team Suzuki World MX2). Lawrence has managed to work his way up into third place in the standings after a magnificent performance at MSC Mölln eV in May while Vaessen finished the season by winning the title in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup last year. World championship ace Max Nagl (29, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team) was also on the entry list to begin with. However, he has had to cancel following injury to his left hand.
In the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, German rider Tom Koch (19, KTM Sarholz Racing Team) is currently on excellent form, racking up impressive results. After popping up in second place overall in the ADAC MX Masters at Jauer, he took the lead in the Youngsters with a win on the day last time out in Schleswig-Holstein. He is currently on 109 points, 16 up on his rivals, Richard Sikyna (19, SLO, MX Slovakia, KTM) and Thomas Sileika (19, LAT, WZ Racing, KTM), making him the most successful German rider at the moment in this ADAC MX Masters racing series for juniors.
The Ladies Championship will also be contested at this meeting in Bielstein, providing a further highlight to the weekend's proceedings. Qualifying will be held on Saturday, just like in the ADAC MX Masters, and then on Sunday, the 35 lady motocross riders from more than seven different countries will rock up at the starting gate instead of the ADAC MX Junior Cup competitors. Currently placed fifth in the women's world championship, German world championship rider Larissa Papenmeier will be competing, as will New Zealander Courtney Duncan, who is currently third in the world championship.
MSC Drabenderhöhe-Bielstein eV is located about 45 kilometres east of Cologne and has been an event organiser for the ADAC MX Masters since 2015. The club has hosted 26 world championship races since 1951. Apart from the motocross action, there will also be a very varied support programme for the whole family, including, for example, the ADAC Insurance bouncy castle and the ADAC Young Generation Suzuki quad bike course. An autograph session with the top stars from the motocross scene will be held at the ADAC Truck on Sunday from 12.15 to 12.45pm. World championship rider Hunter Lawrence, current leader in the standings Dennis Ullrich, second-placed rider Jens Getteman and current best lady German rider in the world Larissa Papenmeier have been invited to attend. Adult visitors can also look forward to an after-show party at the Rock am Waldkurs open-air concert.
A weekend ticket for adults costs 20 euros and ten euros for teenagers aged 12-15 with free admittance for children under 12 accompanied by a paying adult. ADAC members can receive a 10% discount on advance ticket sales through the ADAC Center or via the ADAC ticket shop.
