The ADAC MX Masters will feature seven race meetings in Germany/Austria in 2021 and a different circuit for the season-opener after acquiring the services of another association, MC Dreetz eV, to act as event organisers for Germany's top motocross series. The 17th season of the ADAC MX Masters will kick off at the circuit there 17th/18th April 2021. Live streaming from all race meetings will also be made freely available to motocross fans.
"The ADAC MX Masters sent out a positive message to all riders and fans by staging this year's short season," said ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss. "We plan to hold seven race meetings next year and open the season at Dreetz. As things went so well with live streaming this year, we will be providing live streams from all events for the first time. We would like to thank the event organisers, partners, teams and the many volunteers, who supported us this year and are helping us plan the 2021 season."
In every month from April to September 2021, at least one race will be held in the ADAC MX Masters, ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 with the exception of August which is set aside for holidays. The season traditionally starts on Brandenburg's sandy soil, but the venue will be different in 2021 as riders in the four classes rock up to the starting gate for the first time at MC Dreetz eV 17th/18th April. Over the last few years, the club has been determined in its efforts to become the venue for ADAC MX Masters events by staging top-quality races and investing in infrastructure. The sandy circuit to the north-west of Berlin is technically and physically very demanding.
The picturesque, grassy circuit at Möggers in Austria with views of Lake Constance will be the venue for the series as fans celebrate a bank-holiday weekend 15th/16th May. For the first weekend in June, the ADAC MX Masters will return to Reutlingen after a few years absence when 1. RMC Reutlingen eV will again host the series (5th/6th June).
The ADAC MX Masters will start the second half of the season with two meetings in July, and racing is set to take place 3rd/4th July at Bielstein in North Rhine-Westphalia on an unusual track that combines a traditional, natural circuit that follows the contours of the land with a number of man made obstacles. Riders contesting the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 will not be racing. Two weeks later, teams and riders will return to Tensfeld in Schleswig-Holstein (17th/18th July) when man and machine will be tested to the limit in the extremely sandy conditions there. Riders in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 will take a break from competition this time.
The fight for the championship will enter its final stages after a short summer vacation, and competitors will then race on sand for the third time in 2021 at Fürstlich-Drehna (4th/5th September). In the past, this track in Brandenburg has traditionally been the venue for the season opener but the eventual championship winners and losers could be decided there next year. The grand finale will again be held at Gaildorf in Baden-Württemberg (11th/12th September) where the final decisive races of the year will be held on a superb natural track which is the ideal setting for both riders and spectators as the year draws to an exciting conclusion.
Teams and riders can apply to take part in the 2021 season from 5th December 2020 onwards when the period for entries begins and should make their applications online at adac.de/mx-masters.
As live streaming of the ADAC MX Masters Short Season meetings at Grevenbroich and Tensfeld was so well received, live streams of every race taking place in 2021 will be freely available and will also feature lots of background reports and interviews as well as exciting racing in all classes.
