So that contestants have more opportunities to score points, there will now be three races instead of two per weekend in the ADAC MX Masters Class, the ADAC MX Youngster Cup and the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125. The race duration in Classes 1 and 2 has been shortened by 5 minutes to 25 minutes + 2 laps (ADAC MX Masters) and to 20 minutes + 2 laps (ADAC MX Youngster Cup). The ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 races will be 20 minutes + 2 laps as before. Also unchanged is the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 which will have two 20-minute + 2-lap rounds per event.

On Saturday, there will now be a combined free practice and qualifying session in all classes. Timekeeping will start as soon as the first free practice ends. The 30 fastest Masters and 34 fastest Youngster Cup riders qualify directly for the races. All other contestants still have the opportunity to qualify via a Last Chance race in which Classes 1 and 2 will start together but be scored separately. In both Junior Cup classes, the qualification session alone determines the starting positions for the races.

The first races for all classes will be contested on Saturday afternoon. Sunday will begin with a warm-up session for all classes before the second and third races are held.

Prize money

The total prize pot for the 2020 ADAC MX Masters Short Season amounts to more than 68,000 euros. For each race, riders finishing in the Top 20 will be awarded prize money for the points they have taken. At the end of the season, further prize money will be allocated on the basis of the Top 20 in the ADAC MX Masters championship table and the Top 15 in all other classes. In addition, there will be a team championship across the various classes, in which the five top-performing outfits will receive prize money for their general funds. There are also many lucrative extra and material prizes to be won, contributed by GoldFren, 24MX, Motul, Ortema, Magura and other series partners.
