"Andre, the team and I have a great relationship," said the 28-year-old. "We won the ADAC MX Masters title as a joint effort, so it's fantastic that we'll be working together again in 2021. Andre really helped me a lot when I was going through difficult times. Since then, we have remained in contact. For all these reasons, I am happy to carry on working with the team in the ADAC MX Masters."
André Sarholz was likewise delighted with the news that the contract had been extended: "We are very pleased that Jordi will be competing for our team in the ADAC MX Masters next season too. Over the past year, Jordi has put in some impressive performances in both the ADAC MX Masters and the World Championship. We have great confidence in Jordi and intend to support him as best we can in his title defence."
Tixier will be competing alongside Belgian team-mate Cyril Genot at KTM Sarholz Racing in the ADAC MX Masters class. Genot delivered strong results in the recently completed MX2 World Championship and is looking forward to the new challenge.
"I am highly motivated," said the Belgian. "Andre and the rest of the team have been focusing intensively on my needs over the last few weeks. It wasn't an easy decision to graduate to the Big Boys' league, but I am ready to give my best on the 450 SX-F. Together, we can have a successful season. I'm looking forward to 2021."
