Race in Brandenburg marks halfway point of season. Max Nagl lines up as championship leader in the ADAC MX Masters. Spectators welcome at track.
MC Dreetz will stage an ADAC MX Masters race for the first time in its history at the weekend (14th/15th August). When the international German Motocross championship makes its debut at the track in Brandenburg, for round three of the season, Max Nagl will line up as the leader in the overall standings. Fans can follow the action live at the racetrack and in a free livestream at adac.de/mx-masters. The races begin at 12:30 on Saturday and 10:10 on Sunday.
Nagl, riding a Husqvarna for the Krettek Haas Racing Team in the top ADAC MX Masters class, won all but one of the races so far at the first two events of the season. As such, he lines up in the Brandenburg sand as the championship leader, already with a healthy 30-point lead. KTM riders Jordi Tixier, Tom Koch and Cyril Genot are closely bunched in the table and hoping to reduce Nagl’s advantage in Dreetz. Koch claimed the best result of his career in the Motocross World Championship MXGP last weekend and is now looking to have a say in the title race in Germany on the Kosak KTM. KTM Sarholz Racing Team rider Cyril Genot scored his first ADAC MX Masters podium last time out in Tensfeld and is now hungry for his maiden victory. However, several other riders, such as KMP Honda Racing’s Jérémy Delincé and Gert Krestinov, Germans Stefan Ekerold, Lukas Platt, Mike Stender, Tim and Nico Koch, also justifiably have high hopes of top results when the ADAC MX Masters makes its debut at the sandy track in Dreetz.
Having taken a break at the last event, the ADAC MX Youngster Cup will roll out of the start gate again in Dreetz. Frenchman Maxime Grau leads this class after the season-opener in Bielstein, closely followed by Austria’s Marcel Stauffer and reigning champion Maximilian Spies. In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, newcomer Maximilian Werner emerged as the early leader at the season-opener in Tensfeld, ahead of Dutchman Scott Smulders and reigning ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 champion Bradley Mesters. In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85, Czech rider Viteszlav Marek holds a narrow lead over Noel Zanocz and Semen Rybakov coming into the race weekend in Dreetz. All four classes will hold their first races on Saturday afternoon, with the remaining races to follow on Sunday.
The premiere at the track in Dreetz, which is unfamiliar terrain for most of the riders, promises to be an exciting one. Fine, Brandenburg sand, combined with the summery temperatures forecast for the weekend, will put the riders’ fitness and desire to the test. Any motorsport fans wanting to watch the thrilling racing live at the racetrack have also been given the green light: spectators are welcome, with tickets available online in advance at Vorstart.de and on the gate. As things stand, tests are not obligatory for visitors. Masks are only mandatory in designated areas or if it is not possible to maintain the minimum distance.
All the races in Dreetz will be broadcast in a free livestream. Commentating on the races will be Lukas Greussing and Jan Deitenbach. Between races, a host of interviews and fascinating insights from the paddock will provide plenty of entertainment and information. The livestream will be broadcast at adac.de/mx-masters. The programme begins at 12:30 on Saturday. On Sunday, coverage starts at 10:10 and runs to about 17:00.
The digital programme, schedules and starter lists are available to download at adac.de/mx-masters.
