ADAC MX Masters enters second half of season in Gaildorf

All four class in action. Valentin Guillod and Dominique Thury to make guest appearances. Big fringe programme during the day and night.

The ADAC MX Masters kicks off the second half of the season on 30th/31st July at the iconic track in Gaildorf. Fans can look forward to a packed programme in all four classes: ADAC MX Masters, ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. Max Nagl (DEU/Krettek-Haas-Racing-Team) is yet to lose a race weekend in the ADAC MX Masters and travels to Gaildorf as championship leader and the hot favourite. The ADAC MX Youngster Cup is a fiercely contested affair, in which leader Guillem Farres (ESP/Raths Motorsports) must keep his eye on a sizeable chasing pack. In the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, Ivano Van Erp (NLD/SHR Motorsports) has won the three events so far and is looking to continue his winning run. MSC Gaildorf e.V. hosts the third race of the season in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85, which is currently led by Maxime Lucas (BEL/Becker Racing). A large fringe programme, with many activities and plenty of music during the day and night, will ensure that fans are kept royally entertained during any breaks in the action. Fans can watch the races at the track and via a free livestream at adac.de/mx-masters, from 12:30 on Saturday and 10:00 on Sunday.

Max Nagl is looking to extend his winning run in the ADAC MX Masters class in Gaildorf. He established a 53-point lead in the first half of the season, meaning he could now afford to go two races without finishing and still lead the championship. As always, however, the Husqvarna rider will be giving it his all to finish ahead of his closest rivals – reigning ADAC MX Masters champion Jordi Tixier (FRA/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) and last year’s runner-up Tom Koch (DEU/Kosak Racing Team – in the three races in Gaildorf. As in Bielstein, guest starter Valentin Guillod (SUI/SHR Motorsports), who usually lines up in MXGP for the iXS hostettler Yamaha Team, will be determined to have a say in the battle for victory. Fans can also look forward to a guest start for Dominique “Nique” Thury (DEU/VisuAlz Production by SAS Kawasaki), who has spent the last two years living in the USA and racing in Supercross. He has extended his trip home to ensure he is able to line up in the ADAC MX Masters in Gaildorf. Below the leading trio in the championship are Adam Sterry (GBR/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), Tim Koch (DEU/Team AB-Racing by Zweiradsport Schmitz) and Stefan Ekerold (DEU/Team Bauerschmidt MB33), who will be hoping to climb further up the table. Michael Sandner (AUT/Raths Motorsports) also returns to the start gate.

Guillem Farres has led the ADAC MX Youngster Cup since the season-opener in Dreetz. However, the Spaniard faces stiff opposition from several riders. Camden Mc Lellan (ZAF/TBS Conversions Racing Team) is Farres’ closest rival in the championship, thanks to an impressive level of consistency, but is still looking for his first race win of the season. ADAC Stiftung Sport rider Maximilian Spies (DEU/Schmicker Racing Team) and Noah Ludwig (DEU/Becker Racing) do both have race wins to their name, and are also among the favourites to do well in this class in Gaildorf. Maxime Grau (FRA/ Neestan Husqvarna Factory Racing) won one race and the overall classification in Bielstein and will again take his place at the start gate in Gaildorf.

The ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 appears to be the most fiercely contested class, with multiple riders battling it out for victory in every race. So far, Ivano Van Erp has emerged as the overall winner at the end of every event. However, his rivals Janis Martins Reisulis (EST/Hamstra MX Team), Vitaszlav Marek (CZE), Julius Mikula (CZE), Karlis Alberts Reisulis (EST/Yamaha MJC-Team) and Bence Pergel (HUN/HTS KTM) all have the pace and skills required to take victory. Maximilian Ernecker (AUT/HSV Ried), Maximilian Werner (DEU/DIGA Procross KTM Racing) and Eric Rakow (DEU/Schmicker Racing Team) are the German-speaking riders with the best prospects of success in Gaildorf.

The ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 has taken a break since the race in Möggers, and returns to action in Gaildorf. Maxime Lucas leads Jonathan Frank (DEU/Schmicker Racing) and Jayson Van Drunen (NDL/SHR Motorsports/Yamaha Motor Europe) in this class. Emil Ziemer (DEU/Kosak Racing Team), the surprise winner in Möggers, also lines up in Gaildorf.

As well as the races, there will also be a packed fringe programme for spectators at the track, with a big fan mile, free access to the paddock, and a large marquee with live music on three evenings. Young visitors will have the opportunity to try out small quads and PW50 bikes on the Yamaha Quad Parcours. Honda, a long-term partner of the series, will be present with its Honda Testride Truck. Adult motorcyclists can test ride the latest road and off-road bikes from Honda here. From 11:45 to 12:15 on Sunday, Max Nagl, Jordi Tixier, Tom Koch and Nique Thury will be signing autographs at the ADAC MX Masters Truck. Folk band “Volxxliga”, well-known for their appearances at the Cannstatter Wasen festival, will open the programme in the marquee on Friday evening. Rock cover band “SHARK” takes to the stage on Saturday evening, before popular local artist “DJ Horli” rounds off proceedings on Sunday.

All the races in Gaildorf will be broadcast in a free livestream. Between the races, a host of interviews will provide entertainment and the latest news. The livestream is available at adac.de/mx-masters. The broadcast begins at 12:30 on Saturday and the earlier time of 10:00 on Sunday.

The digital programme, together with schedules and start lists, are available to download at adac.de/mx-masters.
