ADAC MX Masters returns to MC Jauer after a five-year absence. Gyan Doensen starts as new Junior World Champion. Track features new sections.
After a five-year absence, the ADAC MX Masters returns to Jauer on 3rd/4th September. Spectators at the sixth event of the season can look forward to exciting racing in the ADAC MX Masters, ADAC MX Youngster Cup and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 classes on a track that has been given an overhaul since the series’ last visit. Max Nagl (D/Krettek-Haas-Racing-Team) returns from a short summer break as the clear leader in the ADAC MX Masters, having only been beaten in the overall standings at one event this season. Guillem Farres (E/Raths Motorsports) holds a big lead in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. The ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 enters the second half of the season with its fourth race of the year. Maxime Lucas (B/Becker Racing) and Jonathan Frank (D/Schmicker Racing) are separated by just one point at the top of the championship. In Gyan Doensen (NL/ Husqvarna SKS-Racing NL Team), the newly-crowned Junior World Champion also lines up in the 85 cc class. Fans can watch the races at the racetrack or via a free livestream at adac.de/mx-masters, from 12:30 on Saturday and 10:10 on Sunday.
Max Nagl is hoping to be back to his best at the return to MC Jauer e.V., after ‘slipping up’ at the most recent ADAC MX Masters race in Gaildorf, where he missed out on overall victory for the first time this season. The Husqvarna rider already holds a 51-point lead over his closest rival, reigning ADAC MX Masters champion Jordi Tixier (F/KTM Sarholz Racing Team). This means he could afford to finish outside the points in two races without surrendering the lead. Tixier and third-placed Tom Koch (D/Kosak Racing Team) will really have to do something extraordinary to threaten Nagl’s title ambitions. Behind the leading trio are Adam Sterry (GBR/KTM Sarholz Racing Team), Tim Koch (D/Team AB-Racing by Zweiradsport Schmitz) and Stefan Ekerold (D/Team Bauerschmidt MB33). The two Germans have found themselves in an exciting battle for fifth place in the table, with Boris Maillard (F/stielergruppe.mx Johannes-Bikes Suzuki) also looking to get involved on the back of some very strong recent form.
Guillem Farres has led the ADAC MX Youngster Cup since the season-opener in Dreetz. After an impressive debut in the American Motocross Championship, he now returns to Europe to try to extend his 61-point lead over his closest rival Maximilian Spies (D/Schmicker Racing). Noah Ludwig (D/Becker Racing) has set his sights on third place in the table, following Camden Mc Lellan’s (ZA/TBS Conversions Racing Team) failure to pick up points in Gaildorf. He is followed by Yago Martinez (E/KTM SB Racing) and Cato Nickel (D/WZ-Racing). However, South African Mc Lellan comes to Jauer determined to retain his place in the top three.
The ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 stages its fourth race of the year and enters the second half of the season in Jauer. At the top of the table, a close battle has developed between leader Maxime Lucas and Germany’s Jonathan Frank. Both drivers are separated by just one point. After his brace of wins in Gaildorf, Gyan Doensen starts as the newly-crowned Junior World Champion in the 85 cc class in Jauer.
The track in Jauer has been given a few new sections for the race. This should allow even more overtaking opportunities and a wide range of possible ruts. Fans can get their tickets at the gate or, for faster access, can purchase them in advance at www.mc-jauer.de. Camping is possible for spectators. The ADAC MX Academy “on tour” offers children aged six and over an opportunity to gain their first experience of Motocross in three-hour taster sessions on both days of the event. These sessions must be booked in advance. From 11:45 to 12:15 on Sunday, Max Nagl, Jordi Tixier, Tom and Tim Koch, and Stefan Ekerold will be available to sign autographs at the ADAC MX Masters Truck.
All the races in Jauer will be broadcast in a free livestream. Between the races, a host of interviews will provide entertainment and the latest news. The livestream is available at adac.de/mx-masters. The broadcast begins at 12:30 on Saturday and the earlier time of 10:00 on Sunday.
The digital programme, together with schedules and start lists, are available to download at adac.de/mx-masters.
