The 2022 ADAC MX Masters season kicks off on 21st/22nd May in Dreetz, in the German state of Brandenburg. The season-opener was originally planned to take place in Fürstlich Drehna at the start of April. However, a schedule clash with the Motocross World Championship has seen this event moved to the end of the season, when it will form the season finale on 8th/9th October. Motocross fans will be rewarded for their patience with some strong fields: More than 300 registrations have already been received for the ADAC MX Masters and its junior classes. The deadline for registrations is Friday 4 February. Guest applications for individual events are possible from Monday 7th February.

Recent amendments to the schedule in the Motocross World Championship MXGP have led to the change to the calendar. In order to allow the riders to compete in both series, the race in Fürstlich Drehna has been moved to autumn. This means the season finale will take place on the Brandenburg sand for the first time. The new season-opener is the event on 21st/22nd May in Dreetz, where all four classes – ADAC MX Masters, ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 – will be in action.

Riders have until Friday 4 February to submit their registration for the full season. Guest starter applications for individual events are possible from Monday 7 February via the website adac.de/mx-masters. To date, more than 300 registrations have been received across all four classes. In Jordi Tixier (FRA) from the KTM Sarholz Racing Team, Tom Koch (GER) from the Kosak Racing Team and Max Nagl (GER) from the Krettek-Haas-Racing-Team, the top three riders from last season have already registered. Other well-known top riders have also submitted their registrations already. They include Germans Stefan Ekerold, Mike Stender, Tim Koch, Lukas Platt, Paul Haberland, Gianluca Ecca and newcomer Lion Florian, as well as international riders Adam Sterry (GBR), Gert Krestinov (EST), Jorge Zaragoza (ESP), Nathan Renkens (BEL) and Michael Sandner (AUT).
