Tensfeld puts the ADAC MX Masters riders to the test

Can anyone beat Max Nagl in the ADAC MX Masters?. Guillem Farres looks to extend his lead in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. Ivano Van Erp hopes for a hat-trick in the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125.

The action comes thick and fast in the ADAC MX Masters. Just one week after the races in Bielstein, Tensfeld hosts round four of the ADAC MX Masters. The deep sand of the track in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein will put both the skill and fitness of the riders to the test. In the ADAC MX Masters, Max Nagl (DEU/Krettek-Haas-Racing-Team) has been unbeatable so far in the event standings, and is the clear favourite. Guillem Farres (ESP/Raths Motorsports) is out to extend his lead in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup with a similarly impressive performance on sand to the one he produced at the season-opener. In race three of the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, championship leader Ivano Van Erp (NLD/SHR Motorsports) is looking for his third overall victory in a row. Fans can follow the action at the racetrack, as well as via a free livestream at adac.de/mx-masters. The stream starts from 13:00 on Saturday and 10:10 on Sunday.

Who can beat Max Nagl? That is the question in the ADAC MX Masters. A question that his closest rivals in the title race – reigning champion Jordi Tixier (FRA/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) and last year’s runner-up Tom Koch (DEU/Kosak Racing Team), will be out to answer in Tensfeld. Nagl has won all three events so far, and has only been beaten in two of the season’s nine races. As such, the opposition must raise its game if they want to prevent Nagl from heading into August’s summer break before the second half of the season with a comfortable lead. Adam Sterry (GBR/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) and Stefan Ekerold (DEU/Team Bauerschmidt MB33) also have what it takes to claim race and overall podiums, and are hoping to improve on their recent results. In Tim Koch (DEU/Team AB-Racing by Zweiradsport Schmitz), Gert Krestinov (EST/Motoextreme Honda), Boris Maillard (FRA/stielergruppe.mx Johannes-Bikes Suzuki) and Lukas Platt (DEU/DW-Racing KS Performance Fantic), a strong group of riders capable of finishing in the top five and producing some intensive battles will roll up to the start gate. Impressive Scandinavian riders also traditionally use the event in the north of Germany for an outing in the series.

In the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, championship leader Guillem Farres is hoping to back up his strong performance in the sand at the season-opener in Dreetz, where he scored maximum points. However, Camden Mc Lellan (ZAF/TBS Conversions Racing Team), Maximilian Spies (DEU/Schmicker Racing Team), Noah Ludwig (DEU/Becker Racing) and Jörgen-Matthias Talviku (EST/MX-Handel Racing) are all determined and capable of denying the Spaniard race wins and overall victories. Reigning ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 champion, Scott Smulders (NLD/Husqvarna SKS-Racing NL Team), will make his debut in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, and could perform well on the sandy track.

Ivano Van Erp (NLD/SHR Motorsports) showed in the first two events of the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 that he is a force to be reckoned with on sand and firm ground, and the Dutchman has claimed top results more consistently than anyone else so far. The championship leader is the only rider to have finished on the podium in every race. However, with Julius Mikula (CZE), Janis Martins Reisulis (EST/Hamstra MX Team), reigning ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 champion Vitaszlav Marek (CZE), Bence Pergel (HUN/HTS KTM), Maximilian Werner (DEU/DIGA Procross KTM Racing) and Karlis Alberts Reisulis (EST/Yamaha MJC), a whole troupe of worthy opponents are just waiting for their opportunity to bag a race win and overall victory in this fiercely-competitive class.

This year, fans can again experience the races live at the track in Tensfeld. Tickets can be bought at the box office at the racetrack. On Saturday evening, the ADAC MX Masters teams will take part in a pit bike race for the first time. In Sunday’s autograph session, from 11:45 to 12:15, Max Nagl, Jordi Tixier, Tom Koch, Adam Sterry and Stefan Ekerold will be available at the ADAC MX Masters Truck to sign autographs and pose for photos.

All the races in Tensfeld will be broadcast in a free livestream. Between the races, a host of interviews will provide entertainment and the latest information. The livestream will be available at adac.de/mx-masters. Saturday’s stream begins at 13:00, Sunday’s at 10:10.

The digital programme, schedules and starter lists are available to download at adac.de/mx-masters.
