In a press release, the KTM Sarholz Racing Team revealed yesterday that Henry Jacobi#29 is out for the rest of the season. The rider from Thuringia has been struggling with an injured shoulder since the start of the season, which was operated on this week. Even a fine second place in race one last weekend in Gaildorf could not delay the need for the operation.
Henry Jacobi: “Due to the long healing process and with an eye on next season, I have had to have the operation. I want to push hard next season, and that is only possible if I am 100 percent ready and fit. I would like to thank all my partners and sponsors, the team and my family for their support and faith in me!” Team principal André Sarholz: “It is obviously a great shame that Henry has struggled with shoulder issues after a very good preparation for the season. He has tried everything to complete the season, but, looking ahead to next year, this is the sensible and correct decision – particularly with regard to the rider’s health.”
We wish Henry a good and speedy recovery!
