ADAC MX Masters·18.6.2024

Hump day in Bielstein

Can Max Nagl make it four overall wins in a row in the ADAC MX Masters? Local favourite Lukas Platt hoping for top result. Entertaining event programme, including E-mountain bike fun race and BMX shows.

This weekend (22nd/23rd June), the “Waldkurs” circuit in Bielstein hosts round four of the ADAC MX Masters, complete with the junior classes ADAC MX Youngster Cup and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. The iconic track in the village of Drabenderhöhe combines a classic and natural layout with modern jumps and obstacles, guaranteeing exciting races. The big question in the ADAC MX Masters is: Who can bring the winning run of reigning champion and current leader Max Nagl (D/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by Krettek) to an end before the season reaches the halfway point? In the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, the championship lead has changed hands after each of the past three races. Will Dave Kooiker (NL/Schmicker Racing) be able to defend top spot in the table? The ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 lines up in the third round of the season in Bielstein, and Lucas Leok (EST/Team #111) is looking to extend the lead he assumed at the season-opener.

In the top class, the ADAC MX Masters, Max Nagl (D/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by Krettek) has so far won every event of the season, taking victory in every race but one. The experienced rider is the clear favourite at the Waldkurs. However, the strong opposition is poised to pounce on any opportunity to make life difficult for Nagl. Cornelius Töndel (NO/Schmicker Racing) and fit-again Tom Koch (D/Kosak Racing Team) have recently caught the eye with fine results in both the ADAC series and the world championship. Adam Sterry (GB/Schmicker Racing), Maximilian Spies (D/Kosak Racing Team) and Jordi Tixier (F/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by Krettek) are also expected to challenge at the front of the field on the technically demanding track. Local favourite Lukas Platt (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) is also highly motivated ahead of his home event.

Sharing the bill with the ADAC MX Masters will be the junior classes: the ADAC MX Youngster Cup and the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. In the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, championship leader Dave Kooiker will be looking to keep riders like Nico Greutmann (CH/Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna), Rasmus Pedersen (DK/Rhino Racing Team), Bradley Mesters (NL/Kosak Racing Team), Bence Pergel (HU/HTS KTM), Peter König (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) and Jan Krug (D/Sixty Seven Racing Husqvarna) at bay. Having sat out the last event, the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 now enters its third round. Lucas Leok, Ryan Oppliger (CH/Oppliger Racing Sàrl) and Ricardo Bauer (A/MSC Imbach Racing Team) have established themselves as the fastest riders so far.
