ADAC MX Masters·10.7.2024

Start of the second half of the season

Can Max Nagl extend his winning streak in the ADAC MX Masters? We can look forward to exciting battles in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, while the final round of the Ladies European Championship will be contested as a guest class.

The ADAC MX Masters moves into the second half of its season at Tensfeld this weekend (13th/14th July). Max Nagl (D/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by Krettek) will be aiming to extend his winning streak at the fifth event of the year. Dave Kooiker (NL/Schmicker Racing) travels to the weekend as championship leader in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup and has high hopes of doing well on the demanding sandy track. The final of the EMX Women will be held as a guest class. Many German riders will be competing in the women's European Championship.

In the top ADAC MX Masters class, Max Nagl (D/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by Krettek) has won all the events so far this season and only missed out on one race victory. The experienced rider is a self-confessed sand lover and heads to the starting gate in Tensfeld as the clear favourite. Nagl already has a 90-point lead in the championship, meaning that he would retain his place at the top of the table even if he were to fail completely. Adam Sterry (GB/Schmicker Racing), last year's winner Maximilian Spies (D/Kosak Racing Team), Jordi Tixier (F/KMP-Honda-Racing powered by Krettek), Cornelius Töndel (NO/Schmicker Racing) and Tom Koch (D/Kosak Racing Team) would like to end Nagl's winning streak and are well prepared for the demanding circuit in Tensfeld. The start of Roan van de Moosdijk (NL/Kosak Racing Team) is eagerly awaited. The Dutchman recently signed with the KTM team and will be entering the series in Tensfeld.

In the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, Dave Kooiker will be the championship leader and will be trying to keep the likes of Nico Greutmann (CH, Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna), Maxime Grau (F, WZ-Racing KTM), Rasmus Pedersen (DK, Rhino Racing Team), Bradley Mesters (NL, Kosak Racing Team) and Bence Pergel (H, HTS KTM) in check. Peter König (D/KTM Sarholz Racing Team) and Jan Krug (D/Sixty Seven Racing Husqvarna) have justified hopes of a podium finish from a German perspective.

Eleven German female riders have registered for the final of the EMX Women. Katharina Schultz is the best-placed German in the championship in seventh place and would like to finish in the top five at the final. With the German vice-champion Fiona Hoppe and Janina Lehmann, two fast ladies will be competing who would not otherwise take part in the European Championship, but who are among the best in the country. Hoppe, who is very good in the sand, can hope for a good individual result in Tensfeld. Britain's Luca Barker has already been crowned the new European champion, but she still wants to celebrate her title with a successful performance in Tensfeld.

Supporting programme: Children will be able to have a go on the Yamaha quad and PW courses on both days of the event. There will be a pit bike race at 18:30 on Saturday evening and on Sunday from 12:15 to 12:45, Max Nagl, Adam Sterry, Maximilian Spies, Tom Koch and Jordi Tixier will be signing autographs for fans at the ADAC MX Masters truck. There will also be a show training session by junior riders from the ADAC MX Academy powered by KTM during the lunch break. Tickets for the event can already be purchased online in advance from the ADAC Schleswig-Holstein ticket shop.

All races from Tensfeld will be livestreamed free of charge. Numerous interviews between races will provide entertainment and up-to-date information.
