DKM presents the 32Five Pole Position Award for the first time

New glove brand supports the DKM. Two creative minds behind 32Five. Pole-setters from each class receive the award and a pair of gloves.

When the German Kart Championship kicks off the new season this weekend at Arena E in Mülsen, the top German karting series will present a Pole Position Award in all classes for the first time. The award is sponsored by glove manufacturer 32Five.

The German Kart Championship is under starter’s orders. Over the course of six race weekends, drivers in the DKM, DJKM, DMKM, DSKC, X30 Junior and X30 Senior classes will do battle for race wins and championship points. Ahead of the season-opener in Mülsen, Saxony, more than 180 competitors have registered. However, this year there will not only be trophies for the top five after the final race – new glove brand 32Five is presenting a Pole Position Award for all classes for the first time. Every pole-setter will receive a golden trophy in the form of a glove, as well as a pair of 32Five gloves in the driver’s size.

The winners of qualifying in Mülsen will be among the first drivers in the world to receive a pair of 32Five gloves – they only officially go on sale on 1st May. The two creative minds behind 32Five are Patrick Kreutz and Paul Seliger. Kreutz has been involved in national and international karting for over 20 years and gained his first experience of the sport as a driver. He has had his own teamwear brand for a number of years. His partner, Paul Seliger, is renowned for innovative helmet designs and supplies drivers from a wide range of motorsport categories. The idea for 32Five came about coincidentally during a phone call in the middle of 2023.

Six different designs are available. However, the only thing that differs is the layout: all the gloves are produced in accordance with the latest standards and already meet the homologation conditions due to come into force from 2025. During the development phase, the experience of active kart drivers was incorporated in the design, material selection and cut of the gloves. True to the motto: “From Racers For Racers”.

The new DKM season kicks off in Mülsen after a winter break lasting almost six months. The championship is run by ADAC e.V. for the first time this year and comprises a total of six race weekends at kart tracks in Mülsen, Ampfing, Kerpen and Wackersdorf. The racing features two international classes: DKM (KZ2) and DJKM (OK-J). The DMKM (Mini), DSKC (KZ2), X30 Junior and X30 Senior classes are held as national competitions.
