28-year-old Czech attends the Formula E test in Valencia in a Porsche 99X Electric. “Quick Gabi” made it onto the Prototype Cup Germany podium twice this year.
From Prototype Cup Germany straight to Formula E: that is the challenge facing Gabriela Jílková (28/CZE). “Quick Gabi” will gain her first experience of the innovative electric racing series when she attends the official test for the FIA Formula E World Championship, from 24th to 27th October at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, where she will be at the wheel of the factory Porsche. “As she has been supporting us in the simulator, we are now giving her the opportunity to show what she is capable of on the racetrack,” said Florian Modlinger (Director Factory Motorsport Formula E at Porsche) ahead of her test.
Gabriela Jílková contested her first season in LMP3 racing in 2023, when she drove a Duqueine D08 for Van Ommen Racing by DataLab in the Prototype Cup Germany. Together with team-mate Lucas Mauron (25/CHE), she narrowly missed out on a podium at the season-opener in Hockenheim, finishing fourth in the Sunday race. As of the second round at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, she shared the cockpit of the Duqueine with Spaniard Xavier Lloveras (23).
The highlight of the season was the race weekend at Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands. Jílková/Lloveras made two appearances on the podium, finishing third on Saturday before winning Sunday’s race.
However, the Czech driver had already impressed in ADAC motorsport series. In 2021 and 2022 she lined up in ADAC GT4 Germany, where she caught the eye with some spectacular overtaking manoeuvres. She also claimed two podiums in the ADAC’s GT4 series in 2021, finishing third in the Sunday race in Oschersleben and runner-up in Zandvoort.
