BWT Mücke starts with Mattis Pluschkell in 2025

The established racing team from Berlin has announced its first driver for the 2025 programme in the Prototype Cup Germany. Mattis Pluschkell is stepping up from ADAC GT4 Germany and will now drive a Duqueine D08 next year.

The Prototype Cup Germany, which is organised by the ADAC and Creventic, enters its fourth season in 2025 – and preparations are in full swing among the teams. That includes BWT Mücke Motorsport. The Berlin-based team has now confirmed that Mattis Pluschkell will occupy the cockpit of its Duqueine D08.

The 20-year-old will line up in his third season in automobile racing in 2025. He made his debut in the ADAC Tourenwagen Junior Cup in 2023, and immediately impressed. Pluschkell won five races on his way to finishing runner-up in his first season in the series, which is held as part of the ADAC Racing Weekend. In 2024, the young man from Rostock lined up in ADAC GT4 Germany at the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG GT4 for BWT Mücke Motorsport. Here too, he impressed with fine performances in the cockpit. The highlight of the season was a second place at the Nürburgring race weekend. Pluschkell is now taking the next step up the ADAC Motorsport ladder and will drive a 455-hp LMP3 car in 2025.

“We are convinced, after just a year with us in ADAC GT4 Germany, that he has the potential to make the step up to the Prototype Cup Germany,” says team principal Stefan Mücke. “Mattis has developed fantastically and, by the end of the season, was really driving at the same level as drivers who have been familiar with the car for several years. He has been on an outstanding learning curve and confirmed what we saw in him from day one. Mattis is very talented and we are sure he can be successful in his rookie season.”

Pluschkell has already familiarised himself with the Duqueine during tests, and he was immediately impressed. “I am really looking forward to starting in the Prototype Cup Germany with BWT Mücke Motorsport. After my very first test in the LMP3 car, I had a big grin on my face. That confirmed my decision to step up to the higher class,” says Pluschkell. “I am aware that I will have to learn an awful lot about how to handle a demanding race car like the prototype over the course of the season, and am already excited about the first race.”

The Prototype Cup Germany will again start at a fascinating and attractive selection of racetracks in the 2025 season. Spa-Francorchamps hosts the season-opener from 18th to 20th April. The so-called Ardennes Rollercoaster is one of the favourite circuits of many racing drivers. After featuring as part of the ADAC Hockenheim Historic event in May, the Prototype Cup Germany will line up on the high-profile DTM platform at four race weekends: the Dekra Lausitzring is followed by the highlight of the season at the Norisring, before the teams head to the Nürburgring. The finale of the 2025 season will take place at the Red Bull Ring in Austria for the first time from 12th to 14th September.
